Polymer Process Automation
At Applast, we handle our rubber raw materials with debagging station, batchwise or loss in weighting, and transferring or dosing to mixer. Depending on grade, compounds can be filtered with up to 150 mesh screen to ensure purity.

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM):
- Key Properties: Excellent resistance to heat, oxidation, weathering, ozone, and moisture. Very good electrical insulating properties.
- Common Applications: Medium to high voltage cable insulation, automotive wiring, cables for outdoor and harsh environments.
Silicone Rubber:
- Key Properties: Extreme flexibility at very high and very low temperatures, excellent heat resistance, good electrical properties, and flame retardancy.
- Common Applications: High-temperature appliance wiring, aerospace cables, medical equipment leads, and flexible heating elements.
Chloroprene Rubber (Neoprene):
- Key Properties: Good balance of flexibility, oil resistance, flame resistance, weathering, and durability.
- Common Applications: Industrial power cables, control cables, welding cables, and portable cord jacketing (e.g., Type SOW, SOOW).
Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSPE / Hypalon):
- Key Properties: Exceptional resistance to weathering, ozone, chemicals, and abrasion. Remains flexible over a wide temperature range.
- Common Applications: High-performance cable jacketing for industrial and marine environments.
